Morgan starred alongside other actors in the informational film Safe Sex for Men and Women focused on AIDS prevention and education. The proceeds from the film went toward the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan spearheaded other fund raising projects and also gave testimony at a special Congressional panel about AIDS awareness. She also serves as a Board of Directors for Amfar and the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon general of Canada has contacted her to take over his duties for a number of AIDS related events. She also hosted the AIDS Awareness Special alongside Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice for Nightline on AIDS. Morgan was awarded an Emmy nomination for a particular episode on Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. In the spring, she appeared alongside Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. Summer began by Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The production, Von Zerneck/Sertner also included Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. In her next role, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady together with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the psychological thriller produced for USA Network. The film was a huge success and received the highest ratings ever.
